A new DVR by Magnavox

Most of us may have given up our old VCRs for a while now. Modern DVRs (Digital Video Recorders) have taken over in a big time. DVRs typically record to an internal hard disk from a subscription service (for example TiVo and the FiOs DVRs). In addition, DVRs are useful for digitizing old analog video tapes as well as converting digital video recordings (on tape) into the most popular DVD format. After much searching (and waiting) I have finally found a DVR that can do all these things, as well as record off-the-air programs. I have bought the Magnavox HDD/DVD recorder from Walmart just after the 2012 Chistmas season. It costed me less that $250 and it comes with a 500 GB hard disk drive. It has a build in digital tuner so it can record free off-the-air programs.
